They Are Going to Be Right. Down. There.

Friday, May 5th, 2006

“The Wiggles are going to be right. Down. THERE!” He was waving his arms in the general direction of the stage. “Daddy, Daddy right down there. Rightdownthere. Right. Down. There.” Then both of us together, “YEA!!!!”

Well, the doin’s have done been did - referring directly here to the Wiggles show on Wednesday night. This was the second time for a Wiggles stage show for Aspie Boy. We saw them in April of 2005, so he picked right up on what was going on. And really didn’t stop the whole 90 minutes.

We had a great time and he didn’t seem to get overwhelmed or suddenly withdrawn.

The transition to home was a bit dicy, but I am not sure that there was any difference between him and any exhausted NT kid past their bedtime out there. Aspie Boy was asleep in his car seat by the time we hit the second traffic light out of the parking lot.

Big Doin’s ‘Round Here

Tuesday, May 2nd, 2006

Yesterday I was out of town on business, but today I have good news for Aspie Boy. Aspie Mom managed to get some tickets for the upcoming Wiggles show. For those of you not in the close acquaintance of kids under the age of eight (or so), the Wiggles are currently the 800-pound gorilla of children’s entertainment.

I suppose it might be of some concern, but he seems to do pretty good in these situtations, as long as we keep him out of the crush of people. That’s what [riding on] Aspie Dad’s shoulders are [is] for.
