A Green Dog Named “Happy”
Today we took separate routes and Aspie Mom took Aspie Boy to his early intervention stuff. Shortly after we touched base after the transition, I got this email from her:
I forgot to tell you that we stopped for gas. He found the Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? book in the seat next to him. He read it to me. I asked him how you spell brown.
b-r-o-w-n
How do you spell bear?
b-e-a-r
Then he said “I will point to the words and you will read them.” (this is while we were at a stop light.)
Then he pointed out the picture of the white dog. “Look at that white dog?” he said with a smile.
“That’s a nice white dog.” I said.
“I wish I had a green dog.”
“A green dog! That would be cool. What would you name your green dog?”
He paused and considered the question. …
“Happy!”
So f’in cute!!!

I love it! Was the light green when he said this?

I asked my wife and, no, the light was not green at the time. A green dog is easily explained, however, because green is absolutely his favorite color. Everything could be green and that would still not be enough. (/slight exaggeration) Strangely, he loves strawberries, in spite of, or perhaps because of, their native redness.
