First grade is over and Aspie Boy is already telling us that he doesn’t want to see any homework because it’s SUMMER!
Cue Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out”
June 3rd, 2009Aspie Boy’s Grandmother 1931 – 2009
April 18th, 2009My mother passed away this morning. She was most of the way through a seven-week regimen of radiation and chemotherapy for a recurrence of a lung cancer that she was operated on for 4 years ago.
The tumor had been reduced in size by 50%, but her lung function was simply not up to the task.
My father passed in 1992.
/sigh
Still Alive
March 31st, 2009We are still on the interwebs, albeit in a more passive role most times.
Time for blogging is constrained by
- an out of state mother (I’m her only child) in the midst of 7 weeks of radiation and chemo for a 12 x 7 x 8 cm ‘non-small cell’ cancerous tumor in her upper right chest and throat that surrounds several major veins and arteries as well as affecting her breathing and swallowing. (many details omitted for brevity.)
- job searching (ugh)
- Aspie Boy’s home schooling
- etc.
It’s the ‘etc.’ that really eats into free (blogging) time.
Aspie Dad Update
March 10th, 2009For all those wondering, Aspie Dad is alive and reasonably well, given the economy, etc. Aspie Boy and Aspie Mom are doing well and are a constant reminder of all that is good. She is working on her Ph.D., He is seven going on 35. I am trying to become re-employed. Again. /sigh
We hope you all are well…
Manuscript? What manuscript?
Happy Holdays and all that
December 23rd, 2008Celebrate as you will! Be jocular and boisterous!
Diwali and Yule are past, Hanukkah/Chanukah is ongoing, which leaves various Saturnalias, Kwanzas, burning of bonfires and, of course, Christmas. [Yes, I have ignored Festivus].
